We researched possible careers for biology majors and attributes that employers are looking for. We then developed a framework of skills and subskills meeting these attributes, and discussed how to modularized them into a series of seminars for biology majors. Because it will be important to get faculty buy-in to begin implementing these type of skill development, we created several examplars to share. One of these is a review of BioQUEST resources, tools, and activities that already address data analysis skills, and another is an example assignment and assessment rubric.
