The Accommodations: Room and Board

Your housing and meals for the duration of the workshop are included in your registration fee.  Our dorm is now Thomas McKean Hall at 162 David Hollowell Drive which is located in the upper center (#160) on the image below.

Shuttle between McKean and ISE Lab:

There will be a shuttle service for participants staying in the dorm leaving after breakfast in the morning and returning at the end of the day.

Parking:

On Saturday and Sunday only, participants who drive are asked to park in the Perkin’s Student CenterGarage (#4C) on the Parking Map and submit receipts for reimbursement.

Workshop site: ISE Lab

Our workshop will be in the ISE Lab (#98) on Lovett Avenue which is located in the upper right on the image below.  (5E#98 on the University of Delaware Campus Map.)

ISELab

A shuttle will be provided after breakfast in the dorm to take us to the ISE Lab. Lunch will be served there each day as well as some dinner meals.

Note: If you plan to arrive before the workshop begins, you may wish to view these recommended hotels.

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL): Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is an airport serving one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Located seven (7) miles from downtown Philadelphia, the Airport is easily accessible from Interstates 76, 95, and 476.

By Train 

AMTRAK: AMTRAK operates a nationwide rail network including a Newark train station at 429 South College Avenue in Newark, DE 19711.

SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority): The Pennsylvania General Assembly established the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) to provide public transit services for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties.

From the north: Take I-95 South to Delaware Exit 1-B — Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue at the intersection of Route 4. Continue straight on South College Avenue for approx. two miles, past such landmarks as the Bob Carpenter/Sports Convocation Center, Delaware Stadium, and the Delaware Field House. Continue going straight through the intersection of South College Avenue and Park Place until you reach the Visitors Center and the entrance to Visitors Parking Lot #41 on your left. After parking, walk south on South College Avenue about 1/2 block. You will see the new Visitors Center on your right. This will be on the corner of Winslow and South College Avenue on a campus map.

From the south: Take I-95 North to Delaware Exit 1 — Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue at the intersection of Route 4. As you reach campus and cross the railroad tracks, immediately turn left onto Delaware Avenue and right (at the second traffic light) onto South College Avenue. Continue straight on South College Avenue to Visitors Parking Lot #41. Turn right into Visitors Parking Lot #41 (adjacent to the Visitors Center). After parking, walk south on South College Avenue about 1/2 block. You will see the new Visitors Center on your right. This will be on the corner of Winslow and South College Avenue on a campus map.
