River City Lake is currently under development as a premiere bass fishing site in the Mississippi basin. The 953 acre lake has had a number of fish kills resulting in few bass when purchased by Unicoi Fishing Limited a year ago, but management strategies including seeking county enforcement of pesticide use, removal of undesirable species, and stocking of bass have had noticeable success.

Unicoi expects River City Lake's first season to make waves.
