ICBL Connections

Over the past eight years, ICBL has been introduced to undergraduate faculty members and K-12 teachers through presentations, workshops, personal communications, posters, websites, articles, and books.  The active collaboration between this community and the ICBL project staff has resulted in an increasing number of ICBL cases and resources in the US and globally. The majority of these collaborators were introduced to ICBL through connections made outside of the initial NSF funded project, LifeLines OnLine: Accessible Investigative Biology for Community Colleges. (https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/servlet/showaward?award=9952525)

The ICBL website is the result of a growing community that continues to generate not only investigative cases and resources, but also sustains an active calendar of ICBL events. No successful project stands alone, but depends on continuing collaborative working relationships with institutions, organizations, education projects, publishers, funding agencies, and the user community. These relationships depend on a mutual interest in undergraduate science education and a vision of using ICBL to provide increased classroom opportunities for collaborative inquiry, the use of interdisciplinary methods and tools, and an understanding of the utility of scientific reasoning in lifelong learning and problem solving.

We would like to thank each member of the ICBL community! Although a list of individuals who are active in the ICBL community is not possible, we would like to recognize the following collaborators.
