Biomedical Case Studies

The case studies presented here were developed by students in an upper division molecular biology course. The studies can be used by introductory biology or cell biology students. More advanced students can use recombinant PCR to develop "cancer patient DNA" samples from PCR amplified normal DNA fragments. |

Each case study consists of patient health histories, treatment (including surgery to remove tumors), pathology reports, BioQuest Case It activities and sequences used. |

|
In the future we hope to continue to develop more case studies and explore their uses in a variety of courses. I also intend to supplement the studies with more bioinformatics. |
