Biostatistics HyperCard Stack

The Biostatistics HyperCard Stack has been designed to allow students to decide, based on their own data, which statistical tests are the most appropriate for their situation. Students explore some of the factors that influence the choice of an appropriate statistical test and become more knowledgeable about why they might decide to use a particular test, not just how they would use it. The figure below illustrates the screen in the Biostatistics stack which describes some of the indices that may be calculated to aid in the description of ordinal data.

The Biostatistics HyperCard Stack is designed to accompany the Biostatistics text module which can be found in the BioQUEST Collection section of the Library.

 

System Requirements

Macintosh or Power Macintosh

  • System 6.07 or later; System 7.1 or later for Power Macintosh.
  • At least 1MB of available RAM.
  • HyperCard Player 2.1 (found in the Support Materials folder).
